Techno Evangelism

We tend to forget it, but between the middle and the end of the years 1990, the fight against Microsoft, then hegemonic, this rivalry, was also done on the ground of the power users and the writing of the software. Sun Microsystems, therefore, sent convinced and convincing developers to learn Java and become cross-platform. At the time, I was much more convinced of Java than of GNU / Linux, which from a layman’s point of view at the same time, seemed “complex” to me. History and the market have proven me wrong. Java has become the technology that is not used for any reason, and GNU / Linux has prevailed in one way or another.
Keynote, website, tutorials, whitepapers
GTC 2021 formalized the metaverse, which does not require more software and hardware than that for an AI startup. In addition to Jupiter Notebook and Kubelflow, these startups must digest the Omniverse, Blender 3D and Unity 3D suites.

The methods of evangelization are now much more effective: between the keynotes (that of Nvidia and Unity 3D are examples in themselves), the websites, didactic: effective. There are of course the forums, which are a great help. But the silver bullet of all evangelism is the tutorial on YouTube, it’s perfect for the software maker.

For executives running whitepapers are there for that.
Acceptance / membership / placing on the market
As said before, the metaverse is a synthesis of existing technologies, but not for the purpose of distraction, but for a productive purpose. Virtual reality has been around for years in the automotive industry, architecture, heavy technical environments.

Can the metaverse be interesting for very small businesses, non-technological SMEs? Yes, as was the web 1.0 / 1.2.

The problem is not going to be any “market maturation”, or even the principle of “membership”, but the fact that the metavserse is sufficiently differentiating and beyond the gimmicky effect.
